Download EventScope

Follow the instructions on the screen to finish installing EventScope.

The installer will place two icons on your desktop.

Open "Tutorial" to see a guide that will help you get started with EventScope.

Open "EventScope" to start the EventScope Navigation Tool.

If the simple installation steps above did not work, or you want to learn more about how to install EventScope optimally, read the following additional installation notes.

Uninstall previous versions of EventScope before installing the new version. To uninstall EventScope, open the "Add/Remove Programs" control panel and select EventScope.

There are two different versions of EventScope which use two different 3D graphics drivers: DirectX and OpenGL. The DirectX version is given in the simple installation instructions above because it runs on a wider range of computers. However the OpenGL version does run better on some computers. Try both to see which runs better on your computer.

Update the graphics driver on your computer to the latest version. This can make a dramatic difference in the reliability and speed of the 3D graphics in EventScope. To get the latest graphics driver, go to the web site of the manufacturer of the graphics card in your computer. Or if the graphcs hardware came integrated in the computer, go to the web site of the manufacturer of your computer. Most of these web sites will have instructions on how to download and install the latest graphics driver.

If you are installing the DirectX version of EventScope, you may need to update the version of DirectX on your computer. DirectX can be downloaded from the Microsoft web site here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/

EventScope will NOT run correctly if the Display Settings are set to 256 colors or less.

Open the "Display" control panel and on the "Settings" tab, switch to a higher color setting such as "16 bit" or "32 bit". Generally a higher color setting will improve the appearance of 3D graphics in EventScope, but may cause the 3D graphics to run more slowly.

Set the screen resolution to at least 800 by 600 pixels. Some parts of EventScope will be cut off at lower resolutions. To change the screen resolution, open the "Display" control panel and go to the "Settings" tab.
